This is the perfect time to have a Second Trimester travel checklist.
Your Second Trimester of pregnancy is what I call the honeymoon phase of pregnancy. You’re finally getting your appetite back, morning sickness is slowly becoming a thing of the past and your energy should be slowly returning!
#ExcitingTimes!
Mid-pregnancy is a great time to travel, not only are your risks of miscarrying significantly lower but long and short haul trips become a little easier to plan. Because lets be honest, being nauseous and planning a vacation is no fun, let alone being nauseous and going on vacation.
Below we provide you with a general second trimester travel checklist that can get you through your travels with ease.
1. Second Trimester TravelChecklist: Stay Comfy & Cute
In the early stages of your Second Trimester, you may not be showing as yet. Your normal jeans may be becoming a little more snug but your shorts may still fit just right.
Either way it is definitely possible to stay comfortable, get around and look cute.
Think about what that means for you. Some women may feel more comfortable and cute in sweat pants and an over size shirts, and some may feel more comfortable in maternity jeans with a cute comfortable tank top.
Whatever being comfortable means for you, make sure you make every use of that throughout your travels.
2. Second Trimester TravelChecklist: Pregnancy Support Band
When you are in the middle/end of your second trimester, a pregnancy support band is essential for your Travel Checklist. If you’re further along in your pregnancy you may find that comfort comes from wearing a support band to allows you to get around and have the extra support you need.

3. Second Trimester Travel Checklist: Staying Hydrated
I promise your going to get fed up of me talking about staying hydrated and drinking water, but I can’t express how important drinking water is throughout your pregnancy. Especially the further you get along. No matter if its a short or long haul trip you want to make sure that you have at least 8 16 ounce bottles per day .
4. Second Trimester TravelChecklist: Easy to Wheel Luggage
I hate heavy luggage! I hated it before being pregnant and I definitely hate it now in my third trimester.
But wheels are my favorite things on luggage. It makes it so much easier to get your things around.
Throughout your pregnancy you definitely want to be careful and make use of luggage that has wheels.
5.Second Trimester TravelChecklist: Hearty Food

Eating healthy throughout your pregnancy is what will give you strength and stamina to enjoy your pregnancy.
While you travel and when you reach your destination make sure you have meals that promote your pregnancy glow and your baby’s growth.
Always travel with a meal or light snacks that helps keep you going on your journey and if your travel is a long-haul trip make sure you enjoy a good healthy meal when you arrive.

6.Second Trimester TravelChecklist: Compression Socks
Ok, compression socks may not be the sexiest thing around but they’re great for circulation. With the extra blood flow during pregnancy, it’s extremely important to stretch/move/walk around while on long flights to keep your blood pumping. And compression socks are very helpful in that!
